My Family IN History
In the image below, I adapted the program AEON TIMELINE to represent as EVENTS within the timeline, both the lives of individuals, and national changes or events that occurred during a specific time period.
In AEON, the top row displays the centuries within the selected period. Below that are the decades.
My first entry, in terms of chronology, is for my great-grandfather, born in 1848, who died around 1920 (I haven’t found a way to indicate that a date may be approximate). I selected BLUE for my ancestors - the family.
My second entry, in terms of chronology, is for the period when Ferenc-Joseph was the Emperor of Austria and King of Hungary.
My Representations
The period of time, the format, and the colour of the representations, are all of my own choosing.
The SQUARE on its side, represents a specific incident, e.g. a marriage.
The colours differentiate the population from the environment in which they live.
Please note that I have no affiliation with AEON TIMELINE, although I would love to work with them to develop a genealogy-focused template.
The same applies to any other program or book I identify or recommend.
